COVID-19 Update

Covid 19 outbreak

Created Date: 16/03/2020 – Last Updated: 09/04/2021

COVID-19 is the extreme kind of challenge that a nation has to deal with once in a lifetime. The challenges that we face across the board with the health of our loved ones, friends, and colleagues, the disruption to our business, suppliers and clients, is something that we all need to face together.

We fully understand that our nation’s position is delicate and changing daily, so we have made sure that our team is fully prepared to be able to work from home should the need arise, with the aim of keeping things ‘business as usual’.

We’re committed to supporting you and your business through this difficult time, and will keep you up to date with regular communications as we learn more. Thankfully, technology has given us the power to keep in touch and maintain levels of service as close to normal as possible for things like claims, broking etc.

Business Interruption

Most Business Interruption policies offer some cover for infectious diseases. This cover is restrictive in the manner in which the cover is triggered, the period of cover and the financial compensation granted is minimal.

Moreover, where the insurer lists the infectious diseases covered, COVID-19 does not appear in the list of infectious diseases, as new and emerging diseases are not covered.

If there is a case to be made with an insurer looking at things on a ‘case by case’ basis, we will push to obtain such compensation as best we can on your behalf.

If you would like to notify us of a possible Business Interruption Claim please fill out our Business Interruption Form linked here.

In the time being, please do follow any government advice that has been given, and also consult the NHS website for health advice.
